Excursions in the Alpe della Luna
VALDERICARTE RING
The path starts from ValdericArte Creative Residence. The first section winds along a wide uphill path, inside mixed woods and clearings where you can enjoy the landscape. The route leads to Poggio del Lupo at 900 m asl to descend towards Lamoli where you can visit the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo. The return to ValdericArte takes place on an easy path that runs alongside the stream.
A place strongly engraved by man, steeped in history and legends linked to monks and lords, to the "Massa Trabaria" and to the ford trade: an environment in which one cannot help but be amazed by the force with which the wild Nature takes its place and where you can breathe the air of the mountain traditions typical of the Apennines.

NOTES: The route winds along wide paths with no particular difficulties except for the difference in height that an initial uphill section implies: however, it is suitable for all those who are minimally accustomed to walking, including children.
LAMOLI RING
From the center of Lamoli, the path moves along the Dorsaia stream, one of the major tributaries of the Meta. Among cool woods and the sound of torrential waters you reach the ridge that divides Valmaggio from the Meta valley. After covering a nice stretch on the ridge protected by the woods, you reach the spectacular Poggio della Biforca where your gaze is lost in the valleys of the two opposite sides. The return takes place on an easy downhill path towards the village of Lamoli, where it is possible to visit the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo and take a tour of the village.

LAKE OF THE SUN RING
Leaving the car at Lago del Sole, a place where the sun can be observed throughout its journey from sunrise to sunset, continue on an easy gravel road to reach Valrupina. You enter the dense wood on small paths engraved by the passage of wild animals that populate the area, to reach a large route that is very interesting for the biodiversity of the flora species present. You reach the Tre Termini refuge, the place where three regions meet: Marche, Umbria and Tuscany. From the clearing surrounding the refuge called by the locals "airfield" the view is lost in the typical landscape of Alpe della Luna.
Descend on an easy road to return to the Lago del Sole where you can continue to follow the sun until dark. Ideal in the afternoon, at sunset.
